Schellenberg Wittmer Announces New Partner and Six Counsel

Across Key Practice Areas.

Schellenberg Wittmer is pleased to announce the promotion of Gregory Strohmeier to Partner in our Real Estate and Construction Groups in Geneva, along with the appointment of six new Counsel across various practice areas.

Gregory Strohmeier – Partner, Real Estate and Construction

Gregory is a highly accomplished attorney specializing in real estate and construction law. He advises both institutional and private investors on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, financing, restructurings, joint ventures, and development projects. Gregory also focuses on real estate-related regulatory matters such as Lex Koller, Lex Weber, and environmental regulations. In addition, he represents clients in high-value real estate disputes. As a Certified Specialist in Construction and Real Estate Law, Gregory will play a key role in further developing the firm’s market-leading real estate practice.

Fabio Elsener – Counsel, Banking & Finance
Fabio specializes in capital markets, finance transactions, and financial regulation, with a particular focus on FinTech, blockchain, and DeFi applications. He advises, both on transactions and on a strategic level, Swiss and international financial institutions and FinTech companies on regulatory matters, financial instruments, and structured finance transactions. Fabio holds an LL.M. from Maastricht University and a Global Master’s in Finance from IE Business School. His appointment marks an exciting opportunity to continue delivering innovative solutions to clients in the financial sector.

Endri Gega – Counsel, Dispute Resolution & White-Collar Crime and Compliance

Endri joins our Dispute Resolution Group in Geneva with nearly 15 years of experience in criminal law, white-collar crime, and compliance. He has significant expertise in the Banking & Finance sector and has handled numerous high-stakes financial cases with international dimensions. Before joining Schellenberg Wittmer, Endri served as a prosecutor and later as a judge, which provides him with a unique perspective on legal issues. He is excited to apply his broad experience to further strengthen the firm’s white-collar crime and investigation practices.

Magdalena Heyder – Counsel, Dispute Resolution & White-Collar Crime and Compliance

Magdalena strengthens our Dispute Resolution, White-Collar Crime, and Internal Corporate Investigations practices in Zurich. She has extensive expertise in high-stake complex domestic and cross-border corporate investigations, including matters related to money laundering, financial regulations and criminal law. Magdalena’s extensive professional experience in diverse functions (corporate, private legal practice, and public sector), her interest in innovations and her expertise in dealing with technology, make her a valuable addition to the team.

Dr. Greg Lourie – Counsel, International Arbitration

Greg joins our International Arbitration Group in Zurich with extensive experience in both commercial and investment arbitration. He has represented clients from a wide range of sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, technology, and energy in arbitrations governed by the rules of major institutions, including the ICC, ICSID, DIS, and in UNCITRAL ad hoc proceedings. Greg also brings a wealth of expertise in public international law, having represented and advised states and state-owned entities. His appointment will further strengthen the firm’s renowned arbitration practice.
