Assisted Peruvian plastics group Oben Holding acquire Mexican counterpart Kristafilms.

Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa y Cía SC in Mexico City have helped Peruvian plastics group Oben Holding acquire Mexican counterpart Kristafilms.

The target relied on Mijares, Angoitia, Cortes y Fuentes SC in Mexico City.

The deal closed on 10 July for an undisclosed amount.

In the transaction, Oben bought six manufacturing lines in Monterrey and the Kristafilms brand from plastics company Artes Gráficas Unidas (Agusa).

Through the acquisition, Oben aims to position itself as one of the leading plastics manufacturers in Mexico. The purchase will help Oben meet increased demand by improving its service and portfolio of production capabilities in North America.

Lima-headquartered Oben operates in 11 countries in Europe and Latin America, including Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador.
