Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa has announced the change from managing partner to ‘of counsel’ of José Luis Fernández, as part of his retirement, as well as the promotion of Ricardo Paullada to new managing partner, effective January 1, 2025.
During his time as a director of the firm, and since the firm’s founding, José Luis Fernández was a fundamental pillar. In this new role, he will continue to work closely with the firm’s team and clients.
Ricardo has been a partner of the firm since 2001, and focuses his practice on consulting and tax advice on alternatives that facilitate the generation of additional working capital for business operations and the recovery of invested capital, both domestically and internationally. He also advises on complex issues related to restructuring, acquisitions and auditing processes. In the tax and equity areas, he provides advice to individuals and family offices, as well as in the management of succession planning and maximization of investments.
Ricardo is member of different Board of Directors, of Advisory Committees, Vigilance Officer, Secretary of the Board, and member of several committees in significant companies from various industries, such as Consorcio Empresarial Dimova, Consorcio ARA SAB, Grupo Pueblo Bonito, Grupo Diniz, and companies of Grupo Inditex in Mexico, Hotel Villa Magna y Bless in Madrid, Pontegadea and Grupo Cever.
Ricardo is also an active member of the board of trustees of several benevolent societies in Mexico and Spain.
