The main objective of the Potosà Air Cable project (the “Project”) is the supply, assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the electromechanical component, and the civil works of a passenger transport system by detachable monocable aerial cable from the South Portal to PotosÃ, in the town of Ciudad BolÃvar in Bogotá D.C..
The Project is located in the town of Ciudad BolÃvar in the south of Bogotá, in the northern basin, passing through the neighborhoods La Estancia, Tres Reyes, Santa Viviana, Potosà and is projected in removable gondola technology, to cover a maximum demand of 4,000 passengers per hour.
Likewise, it contemplates the implementation of 4 stations in a route of 3.3 kms of horizontal length that begin in the South Portal, integrating the Mass Passenger Transport System of Bogotá – Transmilenio. It will also have connection to an access square, bike – covered parking and areas available for economic use or institutional offer, in addition to containing garages of 180 cabins, with capacity for 10 passengers each. The Institute of Urban Development (“IDU”), the contracting entity, published the draft specifications on September 22, 2023 and, according to the initial schedule of the process, the Project is expected to be awarded on December 7, 2023.
