On October 23, a decree was published that reduces the total VAT on certain transactions carried out by non-resident individuals who pay the price using debit or credit cards issued abroad or by electronic transfer of funds from abroad.
The operations included in this benefit are:
A)Â Gastronomic services, when provided by restaurants, bars, canteens, confectioneries, cafeterias, tea rooms and similar, or by hotels, motels, apart hotels, inns, tourist estancias, country hotels, tourist farms, country inns, country houses and camping hostels, provided that said services do not form part of the concept of lodging.
B)Â Catering services for parties and events.
C)Â Services for parties and events, not included in the previous section.
D)Â Rental of vehicles without drivers.
The reduction will apply exclusively to transactions carried out between 15 November 2024 and 30 April 2025 inclusive.
